Simulate Your Solar Installation and Calculate Your ROI

Before installing solar panels, one key question always comes up: is it really worth it?

To answer this simply, I built a small web application that allows you to simulate different solar installation scenarios and estimate the return on investment (ROI).
This project was developed with the help of Claude Code, which made it possible to quickly create a functional and scalable tool.

👉 Try the simulator

What does the simulator do?

The application takes into account:

  • Your location (solar irradiation data)
  • Roof configuration (surface area, orientation, tilt)
  • Annual electricity consumption
  • Installed capacity (3 kWp, 6 kWp, etc.)
  • Optional battery storage

Based on this data, it estimates:

  • Annual electricity production
  • Self-consumption rate
  • Expected savings
  • The number of years required to break even

A Decision-Making Tool

The goal is not to replace a professional solar assessment, but to quickly test different scenarios: with or without battery storage, small vs. larger systems, varying installation costs or electricity prices.

In just a few minutes, you get a clear view of your home’s solar potential — and most importantly, a concrete estimate of your ROI.

A great starting point before launching a photovoltaic project.
